Kemer
Kemer is a small touristic town with its 40.000 inhabitants alongside its coast Beldibi and Goynuk ares are located on the eastern part and Kiris, Camyuva and Tekirova are located on the western side with its luxurious resorts.
Kemer has a spectacular coastline that is completely unspoilt with lush green forests where tangerine, orange and pine trees grow and mountains that create a stunning scenery; as good as any in the world.
This is why Kemer was one of few places to be awarded an EU Blue Flag award and declared a wildlife conservation area.
The warm climate and favourable pricing of the Turkish Lira make Kemer popular with tourists seeking a “sun and sand” holiday, with a wide choice of luxury hotels with 5 star accommodation at affordable prices.
In Kemer you can start a Summer’s day with a swim in the warm sea then take a cable car up to 2365 m to the peak of Tahtali mountain and 20 minutes later you can make a snowman.
Other local sites of interest include Phaselis, which dates back to 700 BC. There are also frequent boat tours and the spectacular amphitheatre ruins as well as ancient Roman relics such as Hadrian’s Gate, Roman viaducts and the romantic Sea harbour.
Another must see attraction is the splendid burning mountain of Cirali. In the evenings the mountain is literally on fire as natural gases ignite and light up the mountain. We’ve climbed up the mountain at night ourselves, and it’s a good climb but it’s also an experience of a lifetime.
At the same time you Adrasan and watch the famous caretta turtles hatching from their eggs. The turtles hatch at night on the sandy beaches and have to make their way to the sea chased by seagulls and other predators. Adrasan is also famous for rock climbing, paragliding, diving, fishing and water sports.
Kemer is very close to Taurus Mountains. You can go for a nature walk and explore around. The Sun rises from the sea and sets from the mountains. Both time is exotic and very romantic for couples. You can feel cool breeze on your face and let the sun warm your hearts. You can also do skiing, jet skii boarding or more at the sea. Cycling is also very god idea if you want to go a bit out of Kemer. You can even hire a moto bike and go to longer distance like Cirali, Tekirova etc.
All hotels in Kemer has special night activities like late night showes, disco, bar etc. If you want more fun you can go to the town and find more night clubs, pubs or restaurants. You can listen to live music ,drink something cool , get relax or dance and move. If you want a romantic moment you can go for a walk at the beach ,feel mediteranien sea on your feet and hold your partners hand, watch the stars and moon. Nothing is far far away when you are in a little town called Kemer.
There are local sites of historical interest, including Phaselis, which dates back to the 7th century BC. By joining to a boat tour, you can see the ruins of its amphitheatre, Hadrian’s Gate, viaducts, and its harbour in one of the swimming stops. Also a must-see is the magnificent “burning rock”, Cirali, a natural phenomenon caused by the combustion of natural gas. The mountain climb is not for the faint-hearted, and is best made in the cool morning, but the wonderous experience will last you a lifetime.
